My Hair!

I thought that I'd do a lil' post bout my hair, since I feel like I've changed my hair alot in the past 2 years. :) About 2 years ago, I got a semi-permanent purple streak in my hair. Well, actually, it was magenta... not purple. :P But, unfortunately, I don't gave any pictures of that.

Then, when the magenta streak faded away, I got chunky copper highli
ghts put in my hair. And this time, I have LOTS of pictures of me with chunky, copper-highlighted hair...most of the pics are MEGA embarrassing... but um... I'll just show you guys a pics of me with freshly high-lighted hair. Srry... i had to cover my face... it looked ultra-weird... Anyways, I had my highlights in for about a year and a half... and they were starting to look really weird... and I knew they had to go! Look below for picture of my hair! As you can see, it was growing out! (That picture was taken a couple of months ago.. when I went to washington DC). Then, a few weeks ago, I dyed my hair black. I used "Perfect 10" boxed hair dye in "Jet black". After dying my hair, it was REALLY dark! Alot darker than my natural hair colour. But for some reason, even though the hair dye says that it's supposed to be permanent, now, my hair isn't nearly as dark as it was right after I dyed my hair... weird. Plus, the colour looks different in different lightings. I'll let you see for yourself what I mean. Btw.. click on the pics to enlarge!I don't know if it's just me but the two pictures were taken on the same day... and to me, in the first pic, my hair looks alot lighter. Weird... I'll include some other pics for your viewing pleasure :) (All these were taken on the same day). Anyways, I hope you enoyed!

Nivea Series Overview

This is the final part of the Nivea Series! This is just going to be an overview of all three lipbalms. So... without further ado, let's get started! :) Btw... Click on pics to enlarge!

Anyways, the three lipbalms that I've covered in this series are: Nivea Hydro Care, Nivea Pearly Shine, and Nivea Fruity Shine.
Nivea Hydro Care: Clear Lipbalm. Moisturizing. Unique, interesting smell. Semi-matte finish.

Nivea Pearly Shine: Tinted Lipbalm. Moisturiqing. Smells sweet and candy-ish. Frosty light pink colour. Semi-matte finish.

Nivea Fruity Shine: Tinted Lipbalm. Moisturizing. Smells fruity and like stawberries. Sheer bright red colour. Glossy finish.
All three lipbalms come with the same amount of product and are the same price in Canadian drugstores. The Nivea Pearly Shine would probably be my least favourite out of the bunch, and it is my least used. I like the Nivea Hydro Care and the Nivea Fruity Shine equally and I would repurchase both. Below are swatches of all three lipbalms. (Please excuse how dry my hand is.) Left to Right: Nivea Pearly Shine, Nivea Fruity Shine, Nivea Hydro Care

That's the end of the Nivea Series!!! Hope you enjoyed!

Nivea Series: Fruity Shine

This is the third part of my Nivea Series!! I'm soo sorry that I haven't updated in a really loong time.. but I've been busy this week. :( This time I'll be reviewing the Nivea Fruity Shine! Click on pics to ENLARGE! This lipbalm is glossier than the original, which I like. The texture feels relatively the same. This lipbalm has colour payoff. It is the same prive as all the other nivea lipbalms. $3- $4. It also comes with the same amount. 0.17Oz/4.8 g. This lipbalm though, unlike the others is a bright red shade in the tube. It looks like it has very subtle shimmer in the tube, however, this does not really translate onto the lips. As for the smell, I ADORE IT! It's a VERY fruity scent. It smells like ripe stawberries! DELICIOUSS! :) When I first got this, I just put in on like a regular lipbalm, without thinking. But, when I looked into a mirror, it looked wayyy too red! I've eventually figured that you don't put this in like a regular lip balm. To make it wearable, you either just lightly swipe this onto your lips for a touch of colour, or you can wear another lipbalm under it, to sheer it out. When you do that, it looks very natural and GORGEOUS! I really love just throwing this on, ontop of another lipbalm, and it looks very natural and flawless!
Overall, I would repurchase this! But, I wouldn't just wear this as a lipbalm!
I hope you enjoyed this review!

Nivea Series: Pearly Shine

Now, for the second part of the Nivea Series! Pearly Shine! (As always, click on the pics to make them bigger... and BETTER!) This lipbalm is just as moisturizing as the original, but this one also gives a little bit of colour payoff. This is also priced at about $3 or $4... in canada at least. It comes with the same amount of product as the original does. 0.17 Oz/ 4.8 g. This time around, the packaging is a shimmery baby pink colour. It's just as pretty and feels just as sturdy as the original does. However, this time, the smell is ALOT different. I personally prefer this smell to the original. This one smells kind of vanilla-ish...sweet-ish... and candy...ish. :) Please excuse my terrible explanations. :) But you get the point. This one smells alot sweeter than the origial. None of the lipbalms have a taste though, which I like. This is very shimmery... to the point where it's frosty. I can't say that I'm a fan of how this looks on the lips, it looks very ackward on my skintone. It looks pretty in the tube, but on the lips, not so much. BTW... the photo above is a little misleading. It's actually alot lighter and pinker. The photo below is more true to colour. The only time I ever really wear this is before I go to bed, when no one sees me. OR, I dot this in the center of my lips to give it a little bit of shimmer.
Overall: I wouldn't repurchase this product and I think it might take some time for me to use it up, because I really don't use it that often.
I think this colour might look better and more flattering on some skintones, but most people will have to be careful. Stay tuned for the last lipbalm of the series!

Nivea Series: Hydro Care

This is the first post of my "Nivea Series". First up, Hydro Care. :) (Click on pictures to make them bigger!) I really like this lipbalm. It's really moisturizing and it feels really nice on the lips. It's priced at about $4 in Canadian drugstores. It comes with a fair amount of product. 0.17 oz/4.8g. The packaging looks really nice and is sturdy which is a plus. :) The smell is alright. It's definately a unique smell. It's not something ive smelled before in a lipbalm. I personally think it's a tolerable smell, but it's not great. However, I have friends who absolutely ADORE the smell. I left this at my friend's house once and when she returned it, she told me that she loved the smell so much that she had to go out and get one herself. ;) As for the product itself, it's just a clear balm. Smooth texture, not to shiny on the lips, but not matte either. I've used up quite a bit of it already. I love that it makes my lips so smooth and it moisturizes AMAZINGLY! :) Overall, for the price that it is, BIG THUMBS UP! :)
Hope you enjoyed the first part of this series!

Nivea Series!

I'm going to be starting a series about Nivea lipbalms. I have 3 in my collection right now. I've been wanting to do this post for a while now, but I had lost one of my lipbalms. I just recently found it again and so I thought it would be a perfect time to do a little review and comparison on the three. First, I'll start with the Nivea Hydro Care Lipbalm. :)
I really hope you guys enjoy this!
