Cherry Blossoms!

Hey everyone,
A while ago, I took a few pictures of some cherry blossoms. (By "a while ago", I mean like around 3 months ago) :P Did I ever mention that I love photography? I always have photoshoots with my friends when it's nice outside. (I'm always the photographer) Anyways, here are some pictures I took of cherry blossoms! :)

Hope you enjoyed! :)

Nail Polish Review!

Hey guys!
Nail polish has never been something I wore a lot... in fact... I never really wear nail polish at all! I own less than 10 nail polishes in my whole collection! Whenever I go shopping, nail polish is never something that I feel the need to buy... unlike makeup and clothes. :P However, I somehow felt the need to review some of the nail polishes that I do own.

A little while ago, I did a review on my favourite nail polish in my collection right now, Ardene's nail polish in Navy girl. This time, I'll be reviewing another Ardene nail polish, in Rockin' Purple!

I got this from my friend as a gift last Christmas. It's a beautiful shimmery purple colour. From the bottle it looks like it has a little bit of blue in it, but it doesn't translate onto your nails. I really like Ardene nail polishes. The drying time of this nail polish is average... pretty good. The lasting power is also average. This nail polish is a little more sheer than the other Ardene nail polish that I reviewed, Navy Girl. This takes a couple more coats to achieve the bottle colour. I don't know how much this costs... but I'm guessing it isn't over $5. Overall, I recommend any Ardene nail polishes! Gorgeous and inexpensive! :)

Review: NYC Liquid Lip Shine

Hey everyone!

It's been a while since I did a blog post... I've been busy. :)
But this post is going to be about the NYC Liquid Lip Shine Lip Glosses. I bought this a while ago...but I never got a chance to review it yet. I'm not really sure which colour I have... that's one thing I really hate about a lot of drugstore products. The shade name is on the plastic wrap around the product, and when you take the plastic wrapping off... you have no idea what shade the lip gloss is in. :( Anyways here are some pics!

(The first 2 pics were taken in direct sunlight, and the last 2 had flash)

The colour is kind of... magenta... with gold shimmer? :P It costs around $3 or so at drugstores. Really inexpensive! The smell is alright... but not great... I'm not the biggest fan of it.. but it's definitely bearable. I don't know how much product it comes with, but it's a decent size tube. This lip gloss is extremely opaque, it has great colour payoff! It's probably one of the more opaque glosses that I own. The texture is not sticky at all, and it's quite comfortable on your lips. Overall, for the price of this lipgloss, it's definitely not bad... :)

Nail Polish of the Moment!

Hey guys!!
I'm back with another blog post! I'm sorry I wasn't blogging very often in the last month. Anyways, today's blog post will be about my favorite nail polish of the moment. I don't wear nail polish very often... if ever... I kind of go through phases of really loving nail polish... but most of the time, I really don't wear anything on my nails. Anyways, I won't be doing nail polish posts very often... but I'll try. :P

My favorite nail polish right now is a nail polish that I got la
st Christmas from one of my best friends. :) It's a gorgeous navy blue with shimmers! GORG!
This nail polish is from Ardene's and it's called "Navy Girl". It has a really nice consistency and it actually stays on for a really long time. It doesn't chip very easily, and it drys pretty quickly too. I don't know how much it was, since I didn't buy it... but i know that it's not more than $5. I'm VERY impressed with this nail polish, and every time I feel like wearing nail polish, this is definitely the first one I reach for! Good job Ardene!

My Hair!

I thought that I'd do a lil' post bout my hair, since I feel like I've changed my hair alot in the past 2 years. :) About 2 years ago, I got a semi-permanent purple streak in my hair. Well, actually, it was magenta... not purple. :P But, unfortunately, I don't gave any pictures of that.

Then, when the magenta streak faded away, I got chunky copper highli
ghts put in my hair. And this time, I have LOTS of pictures of me with chunky, copper-highlighted hair...most of the pics are MEGA embarrassing... but um... I'll just show you guys a pics of me with freshly high-lighted hair. Srry... i had to cover my face... it looked ultra-weird... Anyways, I had my highlights in for about a year and a half... and they were starting to look really weird... and I knew they had to go! Look below for picture of my hair! As you can see, it was growing out! (That picture was taken a couple of months ago.. when I went to washington DC). Then, a few weeks ago, I dyed my hair black. I used "Perfect 10" boxed hair dye in "Jet black". After dying my hair, it was REALLY dark! Alot darker than my natural hair colour. But for some reason, even though the hair dye says that it's supposed to be permanent, now, my hair isn't nearly as dark as it was right after I dyed my hair... weird. Plus, the colour looks different in different lightings. I'll let you see for yourself what I mean. Btw.. click on the pics to enlarge!I don't know if it's just me but the two pictures were taken on the same day... and to me, in the first pic, my hair looks alot lighter. Weird... I'll include some other pics for your viewing pleasure :) (All these were taken on the same day). Anyways, I hope you enoyed!

Nivea Series Overview

This is the final part of the Nivea Series! This is just going to be an overview of all three lipbalms. So... without further ado, let's get started! :) Btw... Click on pics to enlarge!

Anyways, the three lipbalms that I've covered in this series are: Nivea Hydro Care, Nivea Pearly Shine, and Nivea Fruity Shine.
Nivea Hydro Care: Clear Lipbalm. Moisturizing. Unique, interesting smell. Semi-matte finish.

Nivea Pearly Shine: Tinted Lipbalm. Moisturiqing. Smells sweet and candy-ish. Frosty light pink colour. Semi-matte finish.

Nivea Fruity Shine: Tinted Lipbalm. Moisturizing. Smells fruity and like stawberries. Sheer bright red colour. Glossy finish.
All three lipbalms come with the same amount of product and are the same price in Canadian drugstores. The Nivea Pearly Shine would probably be my least favourite out of the bunch, and it is my least used. I like the Nivea Hydro Care and the Nivea Fruity Shine equally and I would repurchase both. Below are swatches of all three lipbalms. (Please excuse how dry my hand is.) Left to Right: Nivea Pearly Shine, Nivea Fruity Shine, Nivea Hydro Care

That's the end of the Nivea Series!!! Hope you enjoyed!

Nivea Series: Fruity Shine

This is the third part of my Nivea Series!! I'm soo sorry that I haven't updated in a really loong time.. but I've been busy this week. :( This time I'll be reviewing the Nivea Fruity Shine! Click on pics to ENLARGE! This lipbalm is glossier than the original, which I like. The texture feels relatively the same. This lipbalm has colour payoff. It is the same prive as all the other nivea lipbalms. $3- $4. It also comes with the same amount. 0.17Oz/4.8 g. This lipbalm though, unlike the others is a bright red shade in the tube. It looks like it has very subtle shimmer in the tube, however, this does not really translate onto the lips. As for the smell, I ADORE IT! It's a VERY fruity scent. It smells like ripe stawberries! DELICIOUSS! :) When I first got this, I just put in on like a regular lipbalm, without thinking. But, when I looked into a mirror, it looked wayyy too red! I've eventually figured that you don't put this in like a regular lip balm. To make it wearable, you either just lightly swipe this onto your lips for a touch of colour, or you can wear another lipbalm under it, to sheer it out. When you do that, it looks very natural and GORGEOUS! I really love just throwing this on, ontop of another lipbalm, and it looks very natural and flawless!
Overall, I would repurchase this! But, I wouldn't just wear this as a lipbalm!
I hope you enjoyed this review!

Nivea Series: Pearly Shine

Now, for the second part of the Nivea Series! Pearly Shine! (As always, click on the pics to make them bigger... and BETTER!) This lipbalm is just as moisturizing as the original, but this one also gives a little bit of colour payoff. This is also priced at about $3 or $4... in canada at least. It comes with the same amount of product as the original does. 0.17 Oz/ 4.8 g. This time around, the packaging is a shimmery baby pink colour. It's just as pretty and feels just as sturdy as the original does. However, this time, the smell is ALOT different. I personally prefer this smell to the original. This one smells kind of vanilla-ish...sweet-ish... and candy...ish. :) Please excuse my terrible explanations. :) But you get the point. This one smells alot sweeter than the origial. None of the lipbalms have a taste though, which I like. This is very shimmery... to the point where it's frosty. I can't say that I'm a fan of how this looks on the lips, it looks very ackward on my skintone. It looks pretty in the tube, but on the lips, not so much. BTW... the photo above is a little misleading. It's actually alot lighter and pinker. The photo below is more true to colour. The only time I ever really wear this is before I go to bed, when no one sees me. OR, I dot this in the center of my lips to give it a little bit of shimmer.
Overall: I wouldn't repurchase this product and I think it might take some time for me to use it up, because I really don't use it that often.
I think this colour might look better and more flattering on some skintones, but most people will have to be careful. Stay tuned for the last lipbalm of the series!

Nivea Series: Hydro Care

This is the first post of my "Nivea Series". First up, Hydro Care. :) (Click on pictures to make them bigger!) I really like this lipbalm. It's really moisturizing and it feels really nice on the lips. It's priced at about $4 in Canadian drugstores. It comes with a fair amount of product. 0.17 oz/4.8g. The packaging looks really nice and is sturdy which is a plus. :) The smell is alright. It's definately a unique smell. It's not something ive smelled before in a lipbalm. I personally think it's a tolerable smell, but it's not great. However, I have friends who absolutely ADORE the smell. I left this at my friend's house once and when she returned it, she told me that she loved the smell so much that she had to go out and get one herself. ;) As for the product itself, it's just a clear balm. Smooth texture, not to shiny on the lips, but not matte either. I've used up quite a bit of it already. I love that it makes my lips so smooth and it moisturizes AMAZINGLY! :) Overall, for the price that it is, BIG THUMBS UP! :)
Hope you enjoyed the first part of this series!

Nivea Series!

I'm going to be starting a series about Nivea lipbalms. I have 3 in my collection right now. I've been wanting to do this post for a while now, but I had lost one of my lipbalms. I just recently found it again and so I thought it would be a perfect time to do a little review and comparison on the three. First, I'll start with the Nivea Hydro Care Lipbalm. :)
I really hope you guys enjoy this!

Review: Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer

Hey guys :)
So, I've had the Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer for a while now, so I thought why not do a lil' review on it? It retails in Canadian Stores for about $8? I can't be sure though. Here are some pics of it's packaging.

Sorry that these pics aren't the best. My other camera ran out of battery so I had to make do with this one. :( Also, some of the words on the packaging rubbed off :(

As you can see, the consistency is very "moussy". It has a very light, whipped feel to it. Plus, it's very easy to blend out. It gives pretty nice coverage... not as much as I would like... but pretty good. I'm in the shade "Beige" "Medium 0-2.5". Also, I have to mention that it will settle into fine lines and wrinkles, so beware. I personally don't have many fine lines, so that's not a problem for me. The lasting power of this is pretty good. I do think that this is a pretty good product... especially for the price that it is. :) Overall, I give this concealer a 4 out of 5. Good Job Maybelline!
